having the same problem as you, so i began digging around, EQw can be got here:
http://eqw.eqhackers.com/ but is windowed and i never got past the server select screen, some patch error, going to fart about with it and see heh.

i'm using windows xp and when i tried to run the patchme from ''run'' and nothing happened nothing opened no error's nothing...
with anyluck someone will find a fix for it
