Perhaps you guys could just join guys like me in waiting for the new release of EQEMU. I've been waiting 3 months. It can't be much longer than another 3 months.
I can't get patcher to work right (okay, I'm trying to play in Linux; sue me). I figured I'd just wait for them to finish up. What you guys might try is just studying the database. Learn everything possible about it, then figure out how to add content. If you can't participate, contribute.
If this advice seems like a bad idea to you, sorry! Patcher technically isn't supposed to work the way it does/did. Before patcher, we always had to wait if we patched EQ to live.
