Waaaaaaaaaah!
Most of the problems have been user error, or inability to explain what has been done to get a user to the point at which they start complaining. "I installed patcher" is not helpful. I did that twice before I realized I had to change the path of the installation from $currentlocation/patcher to C:\everquest . The path is automatically wrong. I made this mistake and felt like a total jackass, but I wasn't belligerent about a mistake I made. I reread the instructions twice, and got it to work.
The patchserver.dat sounds like you didn't unpack patcher to the right folder.
Like I told another person complaining about the service, patcher didn't always exist. If you patched, you had to wait up to 6 months to play eqemu again. Be glad the option is even there. The devs aren't here for support; they want to program eqemu. The common users are here for support. They can help you much of the time if you're detailed enough to give them insight into your problem. I don't know what you did, or what you did wrong, so I can't help you.
If you want help, be supernice to us. You didn't pay for anything - we don't owe you anything. That's how support works. We help you if/when we can, if/when we feel like it. Many people here are nice enough to help even the most belligerent people, but you can't count on them to know all the answers. Be detailed, and I might help you.
