1) What is your DataRate? (see DataRate.txt in your EQ folder) If you are on 56k set it to like 6 or 7, on broadband (cable or dsl) set it to 10
2) What sever are you connecting to? Some servers just don't work
3) What are your pc specs? (OS, Ram, Hard Drive Space, Vid Card, etc.)
4) Do you have any firewalls on? (If on XP this counts the built in one.) If you do, turn them off.
5) Did you read the readme? (See my sig below my post.)
6) Did you read the stickies?
