Back when he ignored pets I did it with myself(52-ish mage at the time) and a druid to heal me when he'd nuke me. Took half an hour or so but we won.
After he started attacking pets, I did it with myself(55? or something) and 2 other mages, chain summoning
Not too long ago at lvl 62 I _almost_ solo'd him, ran out of mana when the PoD was at 10% health, though. Grabbed a beastlord and we killed the PoD a few times and handed out robes.
Killing the PoD is a favorite past-time of mine. Hah.
It's funny when a low level will run up to him and attack him, not knowing that the PoD will always attack any PC's in range if only pets are attacking him.
