Default #2006 MySQL Error... possible cause.

If you follow the guide on how to set up your own 0.5 server, you might get an error like this:

[Status] CURRENT_ZONE_VERSION: EQEMu 0.5.0
[Status] Loading Variables
Database Error: Lost connection, attempting to recover....
DB Query Error #2006: MySQL server has gone away
Error in LoadVariables query 'SELECT varname, value, unix_timestamp() FROM varia
bles where unix_timestamp(ts) >= 0' #2006: MySQL server has gone away [CUT]

You might also get following errors: unable to find [Database] block in db.ini and [LoginServer].

I saw this posted under a different thread, but wasn't as visible as this will be, and didn't completely address the problems.

The problem most likely is (if you've set up the mysql server/user/db properly) that you COPIED (its so much easier then typing it all out, right? ) the lines out of the guide. Copying those lines also copies some nonstandard characters that dont show up in a lot of text editors (I believe the colorcodes are responsible for the "bad" characters).

If you want to fix it, just type out the complete files by hand, to make sure that db.ini and LoginServer.ini work. Also, once those codes are in, its really hard to get them out, so just make a new file.
