i am getting the same error. i followed the posthere but i had no luck. I followed this letter by letter.

Some info that might help... i am patched from eq live to current as of today 12\31\03.
I changed the eqhost.txt file properly, also created icon with the patchme target edit.

It does not seem to matter what ver of the server i try and log into i always get a 1017 error. If someone could lend a hand i would be greatfull. If someone could help i would be very greatfull.
