Ok well I am going to reinterate something here if you havn't herd EqEmu is Beta and no one can suport as large a server system as sony therfore as you pointed out Eqemu is not a EQlive replacement.
People like the Guildwars guys Pour in lots of money per month to provide a free service. 1 megabit vDSL is not Cheap !! they are propbably unloading over 150+ a month to fund there servers ! (not even counting equipment costs) The guildwars team as well as all the other server admins are pouring there hearts into this project.
EqEmu more a playground for everyone that shares the intrest of eq its not around for people to get free eq that is not the primary drive here ! EqEmu is really here so that we can be creative and effect the game like never before ! We can make our own zones, Quests, recepies, spells, items, textures the skys the limit
The guildwars ideal is somthing you couldnt find on eqlive and I for one love it !
Just an FYI -- Sony did not create EQ Verant did Sony just bought it and took it a diffrent direction good or bad I still cant decide fully
Post like this can take the air out of the sturdiest of sails and really what is the point if you dont like the eqemu experiance move on you don't nessesarily have to burn your bridge and spread bad feelings. I know you really didnt mean this post to come off a slap in the face to the comunity here but theres no way around it when you spam EQEMU sucks so many times. This kind of a post would probably be better on a competetor board like hackersquest that way at least youd make them feel better.
GuildWars, Guildwars Sponsor, EqEmu Devs, TCS team, Suport helpers all the other DB/coder wizards . Not enough can be said for what you guys contribute to this project. For all the hours of very tedias work and all the funds that provide the EqEmu to everyone lets fill this thread with positive coments and not add more flames to a burning bridge.
