Umm. . .

Just a guess, but I think he meant that the version of EQ that included DX9 as a requirement was when he started getting disconnects. I'm pretty sure he wasn't blaming the disconnects on DX9 itself.

You might want to try adjusting your C:\Program Files\[Sony]\Everquest\DataRate.txt file to a lower number (for example, if it's set at 8.0, try putting it at 5.0 and see if that helps).

Are you on dialup or some sort of broadband for your internet?
