I was able to figure out the ports needed by EQEmu by just watching the traffic. I posted those ports, along with some other information in a tutorial I wrote here.

This is like calling a Monitor shitty because you can't figure out how to adjust the settings in the menu.

Linksys routers are fine. You might want to check for a firmware update for your router.
