Ok, i just tried messing around with that new host file and i may have found something but i don't know, i can give it a try to see if u guys know anything.
I took the first line of the login servers from your eqhost.txt and i put it in for the eqhost.txt in the eq folder..now it looks like this

Host=eqlogin1.eqemulator.net:5997
I ran EQEmu, and it couldn't connect to the server, it didn't say anything to me about a wrong username or anything...u probably have already tried this but maybe u didn't and u can work off of it...I'm new to this stuff so don't hate me
you also might want to check out the eqlsClient.ini folder
