I think it would be nice to have a set stable version created, but I don't think it's feasible.

The packet collecting is used for more then just the database. I could be wrong but I believe it's also used to collect data that also helps in coding.
Plus, any new people to the eqemu scene would be screwed since they wouldn't be able to get the eq game folder from whenever the dev's stopped eqemu at.

It would be a nice idea to have a set version to work against, but I don't think it'd fly.
