crash to desktop

not sure what the problem is, i boot up eqemu i type in my station name and PW that i set up thro eqmeu and when i click login screen goes black then im back at desktop, no error message eq isnt up anymore, anyone know what i can do to fix this?

Your eqhost.txt is wrong. Download http://www.eqemulator.net/eqhost.txt and set it to read only.

My Eqhost looks exactly like that... and downloading it is silly. lol

I'm not sure if the whole new method of signing up has occured yet or not via clicking Account... blah blah blah

I tried to Login and I crash to desktop... immediately I check my eqhost file...

As you can see, it tagged on the xp=smitchell.

I've got.. eqgame.exe" patchme ..on the shortcut...

I've gone by the guide to the best of my ability. Datarate.txt file didn't show up anywhere on my computer, so I simply wrote one. Not sure if that means anything.

make eqhost read only (right click on file > Properties > Click read only > click apply)

Ok... cool, file isn't being changed, however, I'm crashing still. Am I supposed to click account to setup my EQEmu Login name... when I try, SOE website popups asking me to log in.

Yeah... I'm gonna have to bump this one... yeah... that would be great... yeah. I love office space.

If anyone knows anything that could help me... please do... I followed the video guide and when I click "Account" to activate my EQEMU login name and so forth... it minimizes to the desktop
