Default Serious Bug....NPC's not moving when attacked in 3rd person

Apparently if you initiate combat while in the 3rd person a mob WILL NOT follow you. You can back away and the mob will stay in place.

If you attack while in 1st person the mob follows normally as you back away.

To test this I used MW_057DR2_alpha_1 database release with the many small updates and Govtcheese's faction updates.

I attacked a giant rat in 3rd person and sure enough it didn't follow me when I backed up.

I depopped the zone and repopped it. This time I attacked the rat in 1st person and it followed normally.

UPDATE:
This problem seems to be related to faction so it appears to not be a bug at all. I removed all fields from my npc_faction and npc_faction_entries tables and the mobs move fine now. Very odd. :(

I was attempting to make a certain group KOS but apparently I did something wrong.

I encountered the exact same situation earlier this week, but my problem occurred in the first person view. The problem apparently corrected itself b/c the next day, the MOB behaved as expected w/o changing the new faction entry.
