Default New patch July/14-04 ( today )

We have an update tentatively scheduled for July 14th. Some of the highlights include;

The ability to remove augments from items and retain them.

Pets should properly shrink.

A new adventure zone

Pets will zone with their masters.

Mana will display a numeric value.

Buffs will show a countdown timer when moused over.

The new Veeshan's Peak! ( revmaped )

this is a eqlive patch or a eqemu patch?

anyway, Pets zone with their master? omgzor, that sounds like the best idea verant has had in like. 2 years

NICE, SOE implemented XML a long time ago, but only started to learn it yesterday ...

hmm...my main on live is a mage =\ so im feeling the pet thing...i may log on just to try it out...probably not, but thats awesome...but why wasnt it done sooner? from the time i knew wtf a pet was i never understood why you lost it when you zoned..

Ooh I think there will be a lot of pissed off mages who spent the time to get the "keep pet" ability in Alternate Advancement. Ouch.

Wewt, about time mages could keep pets when zoning!

...umm... there is no 'keep pet' AA :P there is /pet hold which makes them stop doing anything... but this patch is the first time mages get to keep their pet... (if I had this ability before I quit... I might not have... I could have ran to zone line... regened the water elem and got back in there without having to resummon and regen mana (whih takes a whole lot longer than water hp)

Mages get the AA "Suspend Minion". This doesn't enable them to zone and keep their pet. It allows them to travel in the same zone without there pet and then resummon it for no mana cost.

This patch does indeed break the emulator. Patching this with scorp's patch WILL NOT WORK. So be sure that you have your back up directory intact.
