There's a lot of misinformation going on in this thread.

First of all, I'm not a developer. I'm not a public relations guy. I'm some dude who moderates the forums, and I'll be damned if I'm cutting anyone any more slack than the next guy. I have forum admin status because I need forum admin status to do what I do. If I couldn't ban, edit profiles, manage forums and usergroups and set status I'd be bugging the everliving fuck out of the "ideal" four admins that devn00b proposed just so I could do my job. A job I have because noone else on the team wants/has the time to do it, by the way.

Wiz works on the project a lot, too, by the way. He and Fathernitwit spent some long hours trying to get Line of Sight for NPCs working just recently.

You're right though nemo, EQEmu isn't dead. Nor's the "first day spirit" of trying to recreate an alternative to EQLive, though. To say so would be complete bullshit; we have a lot of active developers working on the project right now, and it's sure not so they can get free coffee.

image was anything but the only one capable of leading. In fact, as none of you at all would know since this all went down "behind the scenes", image was anything but capable of anything resembling respectable leadership. So yeah darkone, you are wrong. His "leadership" basically tore the team apart and by the time he left, people were pretty much ready to fork the project to get away.

image's account was deleted because he changed the rules to this. I think it speaks for itself, devn00b.

Moreover, we don't "give status to people who don't do shit for the project". At least, if we do, we'd like to know who they are.

Everyone "ganged up" on image because he overstepped his authority, plain and simple, and not for any other reason.

I think that covers about everything. I won't get into the main meat of the argument for the fact it largely revolves around me and that image, devn00b and I had some mutual dislike going on.
