Default Every Server Boots Me to Char Select...

Hi guys,
I've been having a problem staying connected in-game for the past two weeks or so. It seems that after a few minutes of playing, I freeze up for a sec, and sometimes the sound stutters. Then, I regain movement for a few seconds while my lagometer goes red and drops me to character select. I just started playing on Winter's Roar and I really like the server....so this is kinda depressing.

This problem has been consistant with every server I try, including Scorp's, WR, and my own 5.7 DR3 LAN minilogin. So it's safe to assume that it's a problem on my end.

I tried updating my GeForce2 drivers, I installed a newer NIC, I ran SFC to restore/repair any corrupt/missing system files, checked under the hood for loose cards/connections, and I ran Spybot, Ad-Aware, Hi-Jack This, Mcafee Virus Scan, Trend Micro Online Scan, and BitDefender.

The most confusing part is that everything was all well and good a couple weeks ago.

I'm open to ANY ideas. I've gone LD six times just while typing this!
Thanks in advance,
-Rocket

I asked around; I guess I'm not the only one with this problem. Some people I talked to mentioned a random LD issue that seems to coincide with what I got, but still, I can't figure this out.

A few times recently, after I froze for a few seconds, I regained control/movement and my lagometer was in the red.....but I pulled out of it and was fine for a few more minutes. So it's like a really fast, hard hitting lag-spike that boots me 95% of the time with no obvious pattern.

If anyone else that has this problem reads this...please post. Just knowing a little more about your situation may help in finding answers.

Very sorry for the double-post,

-Rocket
