Default Royally screwed

Lol, I just transferred my whole eq directory to my new computer and set up a minilogin server. I've set it up so many times I didn't look at the wiki. And Instead of running Eqgame.exe with the patchme argument, I ran Everquest.exe The patch window popped up and it instantly downloaded and overwrote eqgame.exe before I could even move. One file got changed and now I'm totally screwed. I guess. By freezing they mean that they have stopped developing it? So I'll never get to use it again?

Not never, but not right now either. Sorry to hear about your situation, but stay tuned from time to time to see if we go up another live level.

And a tip to anyone who cares: once you get your folder setup for eqemu, just delete that everquest.exe file so you never accidently hit it to patch.

I burn a copy of files and database to DVD every time I have a working version: then I can just copy it back if need be.

Unfortunately I missed the last update to live due to having quit Everquest again, so the versions I have aren't compatible with 0.6.2. :(

Next time, it might be a good idea to delete everquest.exe altogether, or put it in a separate directory. Its alot easier to get an everquest.exe than a specific eqgame.exe. ^.^

C++ is wonderful.
