Default Fresh Titanium install...but nothing works??

I just did a fresh unpatched install of Titanium. I followed the Wiki steps. I can login to see all the servers. I try to connect to a 0.7.0 server and it acts like it will start loading, but it sits there for a minute and then sends me back to the login prompt. Can someone seriously help me out? I followed the steps, back-tracked and made sure I did everything. Everything I did was correct to my knowledge, but if someone knows what maybe going on, please let me know ASAP! THANKS!!

I see you speak about fresh unpatched titanium install.
But in wiki Step 1, guide say you must patch (This is wrong for titanium, i update this outdated guide).
Have you made the Step 1 ? or not ?
If it is right, you must uninstall / install titanium and follow guide at step 2.
If you don't made the Step 1 patching... i don't know why don't work.

Yeah. It still doesn't work though, which confuses me. I didn't patch it, but it still doesn't connect to a server. Any ideas?

Meh. I have a similar problem, although it is much scarier. Fresh install and whatnot, get to where I can create a character, but cannot enter the world. Argh.

For you it's possibly simpler. Check your firewalls? Is that persistent windows firewall bugging you? Did you set up Zone Alarm properly? Is your router configured to work well? Or are you stuck in eternal firewall damnation behind the ultimately nasty public facility/university firewall to which you lack the administrative privileges?

It's always a place to look, if you ask me. Firewalls are a common problem anymore, since the good ol' happy and secure days of 5 1/4" floppies are over. I have no idea in truth, though, but since you can't actually log in to the server, then it could be a place to start.

Oh, and if you're at a university and its a firewall problem, odds are that you will be putting away your EQ CD's and uninstalling 'till next year. Which won't be too long, since it's almost summer now...
