creating npc's

I have followed the tutorial to the letter at http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...egoryCreateNPC
however when i put an npc into pok it never shows up not even in my quest or npc editors. is their a newer tutorial or am i maybe missing something?

never mind apparently you CANNOT use any id other than the next available. should have know this from my programming days but i got it.
