Default PC Locks up, black screen, must reboot

This original thread fits EXACTLY the symptoms I am experiencing excepting the time period, which ranges from 20-60 minutes.

I have followed all of the steps that the poster in that thread did, both pre-thread and the instructions given in that actual thread.

I have altered my eqclient.ini to the one present in that thread, but have a backup saved so I can give my original video mode stats if need be.

Willing to offer any information necessary to fix this problem. I too am running a Intel Core 2 Q6600 with Vista 64; my vid card is the Nvidia Geforce 8800 GT.

Thanks in advance people.

I have since reinstalled Everquest Titanium and am receiving the same results. I'm going to play around with different resolutions.

My client does something similar where everything locks up for 10-15s, but it starts working again after. No blackscreen though. I assume it has something to do with my video card as occassionally when it locks up for too long I get a windows error saying my video driver stopped responding (nv4_disp.dll) and I had to reboot to fix it.

Never found a fix.
