Default open,screen turns black,and nothing...

First let me start by saying very excited about playing eq again, thank you for running this. My problem is when I go to start the game my screen turns black for about 10 seconds i see the eq pointer for a second then my desktop comes back. I have tried all the work arounds on the FAQ and compatibility mode as well. My computer is quad core, GTX 260, on win 7. I am thinking it could be a video card driver and who knows what else. If anyone is running the same card can you let me know what driver your using. I appreciate any help, thank you.

Try the resolution fixes in the FAQ. Normally when you can't even open EQ at all, it is either a resolution issue, or maybe DirectX or driver issue.
