I haven't run into any issues yet, but it's been a while since I've asked a stupid question and I figure I'm about due to be eligible to ask another few.
1) Is there any sort of special server maintenance that is suggested to keep the PEQ database on my machine running smoothly?
2) As far as keeping up with the various server and database revisions: You always source the database files higher than your current version, but lower than or equal to your Eqemu version. How critical are these to keep current?
(*disclaimer: Most of the people I have playing on the server in question never intend to get past, perhaps, Velious, so if all the new revisions all involve PoP+ abilities then I'd view it as a low priority.. or a negative priority if it ended up 'breaking' low-level content.)
3) If I wanted to automatically back up player and character data, is there a simple way to keep a secondary database updated with all the pertinent information in case of a major glitch or a successful attack on the primary database?
I guess these are all the questions I have for the moment, thanks.
*Ack, I just noticed that I might have posted this in the wrong forum, could I please have it moved if this is the case?
