Default Blank Zone issue

Hello i started playing on the project 1999 sever today made a dwarf cleric then got to lvl 2 and decided to make a necro after getting though the start city i made my way to nektolos forest witch when i zoned in the world was all gray no graphics just floting in nothingness. i did see other players the odd time pop up but thats it. all zones that i have tried so far other than this one worked good just this one. is it a graphics issue? im running windows 7 64

It sounds like you didn't follow their 'Getting Started' guide exactly:

After completing the Guide above, you must make a few modifications to your Everquest files. Navigate to your Everquest Titanium
folder and move the following files out of the folder (Preferably create a new folder named "Backup" to put them in):
arena.eqg
arena_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
lavastorm.eqg
nektulos.eqg
Nektulos_EnvironmentEmitters.txt
