Default bothunder not loading

I try to zone to bothunder, by either #zone or clicking the rock in tranquility, but the game hangs on the zoning screen and kicks me back to the server select screen.

After some time other characters start to get messages saying things like "This zone is not yet ready, please try again later" when trying to zone anywhere. The only option I have is to reboot the server.

But, bothunder seems to be inaccessible and causing zoning issues. Any thoughts on this problem?

You may not have the Bastion of Thunder zone files, and if you do, you may not have enough dynamics on your server to open up another zone port.

Code:
SELECT * FROM launcher;
If your dynamic zones are at 5 and you have 5 zones open already, you cannot open a new zone, you'll need to make it higher. I have mine at 50; however, that may be too much in your circumstance. I hope you get this all worked out.

If you're using UF, you might be missing the bothunder files, so your client fails.

Thanks for all the great ideas. I think I should have provided a bit more information about my setup.

I am running a private LAN server, with 3 characters at most connecting to the server at once.

I am also running the titanium client on all machines that are connecting to the server. I ensured that I had Bothunder files in the directory just in case.

I recently upgraded from a server repack on a different machine, where everything worked fine as far as zones, to a regular server that was compiled locally and all that. This new setup is what is causing me the zone issues, the old setup had no issues.

Below is some of the info the logs provided, which does not look very helpful at first glance to me...

Ignore the info about the bazaar. Damn rogue data sneaking into my posts. What I meant to list was the following:

---------------------------
[12.14. - 20:24:29] Starting Log: logs/eqemu_zone_1720.log
[12.14. - 20:24:29] ---- Zone server bothunder, listening on port:7002 ----
[12.14. - 20:24:29] Zone Bootup: bothunder (209: 0)
---------------------------

That is probably just as helpful though.

The bothunder crashing issue and the zones being unavailable problem seems to have been resolved by just increasing the dynamics (I settled on 20) in the launcher table. Thanks for your help guys.

Geesh. I just updated on my private server like normal and I am getting this problem again.

dynamics are set to 60

Clients are Titanium and SoD

Hangs on #zone or regular zone to at least bothunder, pojustice, and ponightmare. I can zone to bazaar, potimea, potimeb, and likely others.

How frustrating.

Are you using the Underfoot client? BoT is one of the zones that are missing from the download. You need to copy them from another client.

Not using Underfoot client. Tried with clean installs of Titanium and SoD, but the problem persisted.

For now I just reverted to a Dec 2013 server and DB setup I had stashed away and it runs as desired, but without recent content.

Well, it's certainly not an elegant solution, but I resolved the issue by doing a fresh DB source and then sourcing in the old player tables one by one and modifying them so they matched the newest format.
