Default hw question: how many zones can i host on my pc?
hello everybody!

Assuming I have 5 client computers on my 100 mbit LAN, how many zones can I host on my home server?
The server is actually a dual P3 500 on a Tyan Tiger 133 board with 768 mb sdram (cas2).

More then you will ever need (You won't need more then 6 if 5 people are connecting)

i have 40 running on a p4 1.4ghz with 256 mb of ram

I run about 25 to 30 but thats because when i had my server up running the max people i had on it was 7 at a time

Don't be so overconfident of how many zones your server can hold while sleeping, eventually there are spikes that could cause a freeze in everyones gameplay, I intend to keep my zone servers under 20 and I have a Athlon XP 1700+ with 1 gig of PC2100 ECC RAM :P
