Is there a difference between 0.5.0 and 0.5.0DR1+?

I've downloaded the 0.5.0 source from the CVs, and, eventually, got it to compile with VS 6 :> (I say eventually cause it took me ages to figure out what that debug error was :-p)

Anyway, I've seen references on these forums to people with the most recent EQLive being able to log on to 0.5.0DR1+ servers, but I've been trying to get a patched-up-to-date version to connect to my server and it doesn't seem to want to work (usuall 1017 error).

I take it all you are meant to do with the newest version from the CVS is drag the compiled stuff over the old files from the 0.4.0 binaries?

I'm sorry if these sound like basic, silly questions, but I'm new to EQ and Eqemu, and I'd like to make sure I'm not doing anything really silly.

I'll wait until the binaries come out if that's when newer patches will be supported, but if I've installed the thing wrong and someone is willing to explain what I'm supposed to do, I'd be very greatful.
