Default Saying it can not connect to the server, please try again la

Ok, this used to work for me fine but i had stopped playing and wanted to get back into it.

I patched, changed the date rate, eqhost and added the patchme statement to the shortcut.

the game launches and when i get to the user name login screen, i enter in my eqemu user and pass and i get the statment "can not log into the servers at this time... please try again later"

i check the site and the 5 servers say they are up. any ideas?

Thanks all

A wee bit overkill. These days, we have 5-DR3, fully compatible with the latest EQ Patch. Just run EQ like you normally do, with 1 exception ... after the patcher gets done, before hitting "PLAY", copy the Emu's 'eqhost.txt' over the one in your EQ directory, then just hit play. I use a DOS batch file to do it for me:

---
del c:\eqdirectory\eqhost.txt
copy c:\eqemudirectory\eqhost.txt c:\eqdirectory\eqhost.txt
exit
---

Takes all the work out of it, because that process gets really repetitive when copying/pasting manually.

So, yeah, try logging in like that. As bare as possible. Run EQ as normal, replace 'eqhost.txt', hit Play. Let us know how that works for ya.
