Server Overview
EQ Returns is an EQEMU server that offers a unique progression-based experience across multiple expansions.
Key Features
All expansions available : Content is locked behind character progression flags, allowing players to experience each era and expansion in a progressive manner.
No IP limit : Multi-boxing is allowed, enabling players to manage multiple characters simultaneously.
Max level : 75
Scaling : Active for Rare/Raid NPCs and dragon-type mobs.
Custom Mischief-style loot : For Raid/Rare NPCs, with up to +6 items on a good /roll.
Instance Goblins : Present in raid zones.
Respawn times : Reduced to a maximum of 1 hour with a +/- 30 minute variance (excluding quested NPCs).
Hub Zone : East Commonlands tunnel, featuring custom content and quests.
AAs available : From level 1.
Pet scaling : Available via the #Scale
command to scale pets to the player's current stats.
Random spawns : Treasure Froglok and Buffy (buff bot) can spawn on NPC deaths.
Global loot tables : With special items, including Weight Reduction bags.
Progression System
Players start in the and can progress through expansions by completing specific objectives:
Classic to Planes of Power : Kill designated classic rare NPCs.
Planes of Power to Gates of Discord : Complete PoP progression.
Gates of Discord to Omens of War and Dragons of Norrath : Kill selected targets.
Use the #targets
command to view your current progression objectives.
Bot System
Bots are enabled and spawn with starter gear. Bot availability increases with player level:
Level 15 : 1 bot
Level 30 : 2 bots
Level 45 : 3 bots
Level 60 : 4 bots
Level 70 : 5 bots
Use the ^bot
command to manage your bots. Additional ways to obtain more bots are available in-game.
Hardcore Mode: Perilous Journey
A basic hardcore mode called "Perilous Journey" is available. Players must opt-in at level 1 and have two chances before permanent character loss. Use the #playmode
command for more information and to activate this mode.
Important Notes
Custom client files : Required for proper game functionality, available in the Discord.
MacroQuest : Allowed, but warping is strictly prohibited and detected.
