You probably are running into the area that I know the least--

from server select to just before char select.

There is not much that should go wrong but I have seen a couple of people post the problem of a crash just before getting to the char select.

First, I would recommend that you do "client only" and make sure that you can connect to some existing server.

this is how you do the client-only:

http://eqemu.sourceforge.net/forums/...p;threadid=238

This tells you that you are doing everything right on the client side.

Then change your eqhost.txt to point to your server (either localhost for a one box or some IP for a multibox setup).

this is what a good boot up world should look like (numbers on left will vary):

Sending list of guilds
DEBUG: HDR.b7_Unknown
DEBUG: HDR.b5_Unknown
DEBUG: HDR.b6_Unknown
DEBUG: HDR.b5_Unknown
270999 Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:2056
271005 Unknown opcode: 0x3921 size:2056
343999 Unknown opcode: 0x9221 size:4
0000: B0 4B C6 D6 | .K..
346997 Unknown opcode: 0x9220 size:16
0000: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 | ................

Because you can't get to the char select screen, looking at the zone screens won't do any good.

So the only two screens of interest are the minilogin server screen and the world server screen.
